After long tiring weekdays, there is no better way to unplug and spend your quality time than taking your loved ones—family, friends, or partner—out to one excellent meal.
While there are countless outstanding restaurants serving up Sunday brunch in Bangkok, Panorama Restaurant—located on the 23rd floor of Crowne Plaza Bangkok Lumpini Park—is among the most noticeable restaurants in town with its unrivalled cityscape, live music, and a vast selection of international favorites.
The restaurant offers a wonderful getaway from the busy streets of Bangkok with its open space atrium rising through several stories of the hotel up to the roof, making it an exceptionally comfortable place for brunch. The main dining area comes with an elegant mix of patterns and hues. The glossy buffet counters pop up against dark wood floors, ceilings, and paneling, creating a sophisticated and glamorous atmosphere to the space.
Guests can also sit in the terrace area with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the hectic street life on Rama IV Road and the lush greenery of Lumpini Park, or go to a private room with 10-15 seats where guests can have an exclusive meal prepared by a personal chef.
The kitchen is ruled by the hotel’s executive chef Marco Turatti, an Italian-born chef who previously worked at Crowne Plaza Dubai for 4 years as an executive sous chef. Chef Marco began his career at a young age, working at Michelin-starred Ristorante Il Siciliano in Tuscany, before moving to several restaurants in Europe like Italy, Spain, and France—foremost among them is the Michelin-starred Ristorante Brunello.
With his experience and expertise in cooking, chef Marco is bringing his personal flair and culinary concepts to ensure every dish is elevated to perfection, using only the freshest and finest sustainable ingredients.
Light Corner
The Sunday feast kicks off with the Western appetizers like chicken nuggets, fish and chips, and Quesadilla ham cheese, together with the American fried rice. At the station also lies made-to-order pancake and waffle toast with assorted toppings and syrup, as well as ice cream in a variety of flavors.
Salad Bar
Next up is the craving salad bar featuring freshly picked greens, raw vegetables, cornichons, olives, crouton, bacon bits, and various types of salad dressing; along with a wide range of imported cold cuts and terrines like beef carpaccio, salmon terrine, and Parma ham, to name a few; as well as a great selection of artisanal cheese and bread.
Pasta
For those who want to customize their own pasta dish, the chef-attended pasta station offers diners with variation of pastas—made to order—including penne, squid ink spaghetti, fettuccine, and ravioli with choice of fillings, in traditional tomato sauce, mustard sauce, mint sauce, and other homemade sauces.
Grill Station
Continue the feast with a complete carving station featuring an unlimited selection of premium meat and seafood items which highlights marbled prime beef ribs, lamb shanks, pork tenderloin, salmon, and black-banded trevally, served with a choice of pepper corn sauce, truffle sauce, red wine sauce, or BBQ sauce. However, the real crowd pleaser of the station is the tempting foie gras prepared à la minute on the hot grill.
Hot Dish
Asian palates will definitely enjoy these selections of Chinese specialties such as stir fried fish with soy sauce, stir fried beef with XO sauce, stir fried duck with pepper sauce, and authentic Cantonese dim sum, cooked to perfection by the chef from the hotel’s Chinese outlet, Xin Tian Di.
Seafood on Ice
The main feature of the buffet is at the seafood station, in which guests can choose from a veritable cornucopia of ocean delicacies, including Alaska king crabs, river prawns, rock lobsters, brown crabs, oysters, scallops, whelks, and clams, as well as Japanese favorites like sushi and sashimi, all imported fresh from sustainable fisheries.
Dessert
Rounding out the extensive dessert options are toothsome cakes such as blueberry cheese cake, Siam trio cake, and chocolate cake; and small portions of sweet treats like pandan éclair, fruit tart, vanilla panna cotta, blueberry mousse, and crème brûlée; as well as the chocolate fondue fountain, assorted Thai desserts, and fresh fruits on offer.
Boston Lobster and Grilled Scallops
Additionally, guests get one complimentary dish featuring Boston lobster and grilled scallops at their brunch buffet. Served with 4 different styles of dipping sauce, the Boston lobster comes grilled with a combination of fried raisin, carrot, onion, and peanut, while grilled scallops offer a soft and firm texture with the natural sweetness.
